I love these for a light taste of chocolate and a nip of sugar without being a heavy calorie-laden treat and eat them often. The outer coating is a nice caramel with a slight taste of toffee, and, once you get down to the center, you hit a gooey chocolate. It never occurred to me to bite one but my friend's child had to have dental work redone because, apparently, this is somewhere in between caramel and a hard candy...in that, if you bite down on it, it will grip your teeth and pull out dental work according to the dentist when you then open your teeth...so...if you think about it for kids with dental work you might think twice. Great to keep in your purse for a quick sugar fix, doesn't melt, tastes great.

We ordered several boxes of Nips chocolate parfait because it is not carried in stores locally. The item was exactly as described and arrived ahead of schedule in perfect shape. The production dates were similar to the dates on supermarket Nips products we have found, so these were not sitting on the shelf for a year. A great bargain on a hard to find flavor.

Ive tried the sugar free caramel nips candy and LOVED it which is why i am so shocked im disappointed by these. The other one was more creamy and so when it stuck to your teeth it was easier to get off--these are harder so its a lot more awkward and annoying. The chocolate inside tastes rly good, but the only way to properly enjoy it is to wait for the caramel to dissolve, but sometimes i get impatient and just bite into it, and the caramel lik sticks to my teeth and the chocolate gets crushed w it so i cant rly enjoy it. Its just a mess. All bc the density/texture of the caramel isnt soft liek the sugar free.

Nips are great without adding lots of calories to your diet. They satisfy my "need" for chocolate.

found some faults. A few pieces were unwrapped, stuck to cardboard of box. Another little issue - some parts - like a half or third, of candy, missing in wrapper.
